This special drawing workshop is inspired by the beauty of Penny’s magical garden - a space created with passion, artistry, and delight. Join me for a guided art plein air experience, hosted in Penny's Garden as the source of inspiration to capture the glorious colours and textures of flowers and greenery. We gather at a round table for socials and laughter and cheers, then meander and explore as Edwin the cat does, to find beautiful, secret places that match your peace within.

Expect demonstrations for colour harmony, flower anatomy, and media blending for realism and expressionism!

All styles, levels of experience, and drawing media are welcome!

Wed Sept 20th, 2023 from 10am-4pm *outdoor class, weather permitting.

$100 includes lunch, snacks + wine and non-alcoholic refreshments

Bring your own materials - suggested list:

• Dress for the weather (sunscreen/sunglasses)

• A small shoulder bag or a pencil case that ideally fits everything on the list inside of it. 

• Sketchbook (watercolour or mixed media paper is preferred) 

• Drawing board (optional - plexiglass or masonite board for your paper) + clips or painter’s tape

• One graphite pencil

• One pencil sharpener/xacto knife

• One kneadable eraser

• One white eraser/eraser pencil

• One charcoal pencil and blending brush

• 1-2 fineliner waterproof markers ie. a fine tip and brush tip

• One white or gold gel pen, for accents (optional)

• Set of (water soluble) coloured pencils

• Watercolour travel set with travel brushes

• a small container for water /or water-brushes

• a folded paper towel 

• inspiration to share with the group, such as books or magazines (optional)

Cancellations must be made no less than two weeks before the start date for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds or credits for cancellations made after that time. There are no exceptions.
